What the record establishes, and what it cannot
Uncertainty stays attached
Verified clean means no extraction warnings were stored. Verified with caveats means the record remains usable while unresolved conditions stay visible in its dossier.
Links and commissions do not set the facts
StackWatch currently links directly to official vendor pages without referral tracking. Any future customer referral link will be marked as sponsored and will not change data, coverage, ordering, or comparison facts.
Verification is not infallibility
Vendor pages can be incomplete, region-specific, or changed between checks. News summaries can also be incomplete or become outdated; readers should consult the linked source. A link supplies context, not endorsement.
How pricing records are made
Read the primary source
Each tracked official pricing page is fetched by the nightly pipeline. Third-party price summaries are not used as source evidence.
Preserve the page state
The fetched HTML is stored under a dated vendor snapshot path before structured extraction is published. Each dossier exposes its archived snapshot as inert plain text with a SHA-256 digest.
Keep uncertainty attached
Plans, prices, units, and limits become structured records. Ambiguity remains visible as an extraction caveat instead of being silently resolved; the next successful extraction can correct the record while retaining detected price history.
Keep unlike offers distinct
Monthly prices and annual-billed monthly equivalents occupy separate fields. Free, usage based, not listed, and contact or custom offers remain distinct. Category ledgers group source currencies before sorting numeric entry offers; they do not convert currencies or rank quality.
Classify later observations
Later comparisons distinguish increases, decreases, newly listed numeric prices, amounts no longer listed, and unchanged baseline states. Teal denotes verified or decreased values, coral denotes increases, amber denotes caveats or newly listed states, and neutral text denotes a baseline.

Ten curated industry accounts and official sources for a ten-company AI coverage set provide discovery signals only.
Require an external source
A candidate must resolve to a separate, non-social source. AI then normalizes the facts and merges duplicate coverage.
Publish an independent card
Cards use an original headline and summary with the external link, never raw post text, social URLs, handles, or source identities.
